My personal branding suite is a reflection of who I am as a designer - professional, welcoming, thoughtful, and impactful. Through this design process, I practiced introspection about how I want to represent myself as a designer and what my professional values are. From sketches to completed assets, my branding showcases my skills and dedication to my craft.
Logo Sketches
To begin designing my personal logo, I created sketches to explore interesting ways to manipulate the B letterform. It felt logical to work with the letter B to develop my logomark with my initials. I wanted to find a unique way to represent myself using the letter B to create a mark that would stand out and promote brand recognition.
Digital Drafts
Digitized versions of my strongest concept sketches. I took this opportunity to compare different fonts that spoke to the spirit of my brand and evaluate which of the designs best represented me. I was most partial to the rounded letterforms of All Round Gothic at this stage and feel that the logomarks are best complimented by that typeface.
Typography
All Round Gothic is modern and friendly with rounded letterforms. The use of this font makes my branding look fresh, clean, and professional.
Apparat is a sans serif that compliments All Round Gothic with relatively rounded bowls and counters and works well as a body copy type.

Color
This green color reflects the refinement and professionalism of my brand while remaining friendly and down-to-earth. Green is fresh and clean and represents growth and prosperity, in line with the goals I have for my branding and for my personal growth.

Final Brand Design
My alliterative name lent itself well to utilizing two interlocking lowercase Bs for my primary logo and logomark. Building off of that symbol, I created an alternative logomark that resembles a pinwheel or a clover and brand patterns made from both, allowing my branding to be flexible across multiple applications.
